Staging of works

The masterplan provides an overview of the whole 78-hectare site. It includes the four proposed stages, which are:

Stage One: to be operational within five years after detailed design is completed, Will provide 2,500 burial plots, signalised entry on Mugga Lane, works depot and playground; detailed design remains subject to funding.

Stage Two: some of the most needed facilities are expected to be operational within five years after stage one is complete. The remaining features to be implemented over the next 50 years; stage two incorporates a crematorium, memorial halls, function halls, café, mausoleum, outdoor chapel, administration building and supporting infrastructure.

Stage Three: take 35 years to implement progressively after stage two is complete; it incorporates areas of high cultural, ecological site constraints, and is suitable for natural burials, ashes interment and supporting infrastructure.

Stage Four: 85+ years – provides for more traditional burials and supporting infrastructure.
