Project status: Ongoing

How to have YourSay:

We are setting up a Community Reference Group (CRG) to help us with the next stage of Light Rail. To register your interest in becoming part of our group, email us at lightrailtowoden@act.gov.au.

The first CRG meeting for 2020 took place on 25 June via WebEx. To view the minutes, click here.

We are looking at:

Community Reference Groups (CRGs) for community members and special interest group representatives to have a say in the in the project. The reference groups will provide a conduit to the community to ensure there is a voice in the planning and development of these next stages, and a formal mechanism for the community to provide comments and feedback.

The CRG will look at different topics affected by the next Light Rail stage, City to Commonwealth Park, such as:

  • Local business
  • Approvals processes
  • The environment
  • Our urban landscape
  • Public and private transport
  • Pedestrian access and cycling
  • Heritage and culture
  • Accessibility
  • Community and residential impacts

As a part of the first meeting of the CRG, we set the Terms of Reference for the group. The Terms of Reference covers the CRG's objectives, it's role, the behaviour expected of group members, and logistics such as meeting frequency. Please take a look at the Terms of Reference for more information about how the group operates.

We will use your views to:

Ensure there is a consistent community voice included in the planning and development of this next stage to address issues that impact business and the community.

If you would like to know more about the set up of the CRG, please take a look at the frequently asked questions page.
