How to have YourSay:

We want to hear from you about how you want the Canberra Hospital campus to look and feel in the coming years. By giving feedback, you will help to make sure the Master Plan meets the needs and values of all Canberrans.

Whether you are a regular visitor to the Canberra hospital, have visited from our region, use the hospital occasionally, or work on the campus, we would like to hear from you.

Have YourSay about how the campus should be developed and improved into the future:

We are looking at:

The Canberra Hospital Master Plan is being developed as a long-term planning document to ensure future changes make the campus welcoming and usable for patients and staff.

Providing guiding objectives and strategies, the plan will inform the future development of the Canberra Hospital to make sure it can respond to the current and future needs of our community.

We already have some feedback from the community heard through other separate consultations relating to the Canberra Hospital campus on topics such as access, traffic management, parking, wayfinding, accessibility, sustainability and green space. We want to understand in more detail, thoughts on these topics and others, and are having conversations with the community, Canberra Health Services staff, ACT Health Directorate staff, service providers and other stakeholders to help guide the development of The Canberra Hospital Master Plan.

We want to understand what is important to you about The Canberra Hospital campus, and the types of public spaces and visitor/patient amenities that you want in the future:

  • How the campus can better contribute to patient and staff health and wellbeing
  • How the campus can adapt to advances in healthcare technology into the future
  • How the campus can continue to be connected to our community
  • How the campus can contribute to Canberra’s overall environmental sustainability.

We are interested in hearing views about:

  • Getting around the campus, car parking and public transport
  • How to improve access within and between buildings
  • Public safety in and around the hospital
  • Visitor, patient and staff amenities, such as cafes and waiting areas
  • Other amenities and green space, and ways to improve patient and visitor satisfaction

Note: Feedback from the community heard through other separate consultations, on topics such as access, traffic management, parking, wayfinding, disability accessibility, sustainability and green space, will also be considered in the creation of the master plan.

We will use your views to:

Your feedback will be used to develop a draft master plan. You will then be able to have YourSay on the draft master plan options later this year.

Community feedback will give us important information to help guide the development and expansion of The Canberra Hospital campus over the next two decades.
