Introduction

Just over 1,000 Panel members provided their views on regulatory reforms that will require all home swimming pools to have a barrier compliant with modern safety standards.

The survey was conducted between 3-10 April 2023.

The survey highlighted a relatively high level of awareness of the reforms across the community. Among pool owners, there was strong interest in these reforms and an appetite for further information to be provided. The survey also identified the barriers which would make it difficult for pool owners to comply with the new requirements, including potential financial costs and timeframes.

The survey results will be used to inform future communications and engagement with the community on this topic.
